本集有两条线索.主线索是Carol想和一个男孩好，因为Maggie工作比较忙，所以Carol将心思只和Jason交流，Maggie吃醋了，Jason化解矛盾。另一条是Mike把女友的狗弄丢了,用颜料让一另条狗扮成女友的狗,结果露馅,Mike用花言巧语摆平风波.两个事件穿插进行.

Carol:Come off it, Dad,I mean the boy thinks I look like a bear.I'm just ugly.

这是本集最精彩的话.patronize这里是"屈尊：以屈尊俯就的态度对待"之意,而非通常的"保护，赞助"."Throwing me a bone , calling me an old pro".直译是"给我骨头啃,就说我是老手".
pro是"老手专家"的意思.因为狗是啃骨头的"老手".所以言外之意是"不要把我当作狗耍".
